  • well I work a job that is mentally straining and I'd rather have a physically straining one!
  • Definately physical. Being emotional exhausts me.
  • Physically straining. I did the emotional straining and it was exhausting. I couldn't leave it behind. I was drained. It altered my personality.
  • I will stick with the physically straining job.
  • I would rather have a job that is physically straining. An emotional straining job can cause you to also tire out physically, but a physically straining job doesn't lead to you wearing out emotionally.
  • I can handle physically straining much better than emotionally straining.
  • I re-thought this one and have decided to change my answer to given a choice I would rather not work at all. with the right amount of money I woulld play for the rest of my life!!!
  • Definitely physical -- it takes a very strong person to handle emotional strain day in and day out. Many (unfortunately) get enough on the home front and need their job to get away from that!
  • I believe I would fail at either of those options..I'd have to hold out for one that is mentally straining! :)
  • My previous job was physically straining because I had to visit several offices in one day EVERYDAY. My present job is emotionally straining because I had to deal with many people who are incompetent and yet look so highly of themselves. My second full-time job is also emotionally straining because I deal with people on the Internet, people I have never even met before. You know what, all other things being equal (pay, benefits, others), I'd take the emotionally straining job anytime. At least all I have to do is take deep breaths and I'm okay. I can't say the same thing for a job that's physically straining. I need total rest for that!
  • Physically for sure. I find it feels good to come home after a hard day of physical labour.
  • Probably emotionally straining. I've had physically strianing jobs, in the past. (Being developmentally disabled means you don't get good jobs.) And I've had injuries that take long to heal. Emotional strain, I deal with on a regular basis at home.
  • Physically straining, ive been a single mum for many years so would like a rest from the emotional strain.:-)
  • An emotionally straining job can drain you just as much as a physically straining job. I'd rather be tired physically and happy with the work i'm doing because personal life is already emotionally straining as it is.
