  • I know the lanes on the freeway are 10-12 feet wide, but the two lane road depends on if there is a curb, parking on both sides, and if it is residencial or business. Truck traffic makes two way roads wider for business.
  • Assuming you are talking about a two lane highway, as opposed to a street or interstate, then it varies from state to state, but in Texas they are between 18-24', is what I understatnd. This is from the Texas Department of Highways.
  • With cities making the lanes different from each other, sometimes 9 foot meets 12 foot real quick.
