Because of the confusion with the continent name, new names are to be given for "America" (US) and "Americans" (US citizens). What new names would you suggest? Or would you rather rename the continent?

I would suggest that people get the basic level of education necessary so that they know the names of the continents as they are. I don't mean to sound flip, but it's a pet peeve of mine that we just keep lowering the bar to meet with people's stupidity rather than raising it and going to the trouble of educating them!!;)

It is a little late to change the names. And there should be no confusion to those who are very basically educated. And does "everyone" know where the names of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia came from? And how many know where Europe ends and Asia begins? And what countries are in "Asia"? And is India part of Asia? Why is it called a "subcontinent"? And, if East is East and West is West, what is the Mid-East? And is "Indo-China" part of the Indian "subcontinent" or part of Asia? Is Japan Asian? What about the Phillipines? Is Indonesia Asian? What are Micronesia and Polynesia? Should Greenland be called a continent? Are Britain and Ireland a part of Europe? Who wants to begin? (LOL!)
