  • I would suggest you get a good book on it and learn all you can so you don't have the problems that happen to so many people who think they know what they're doing. If you are just doing simple backyard type breeding, this book isn't too bad, though to as complete as it could be. http://www.amazon.com/Storeys-Guide-Raising-Rabbits-Facilities/dp/1580172601/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1214059118&sr=8-1 First off why are you breeding your rabbits? What is your purpose? That will determine how you approach the subject. Do you have enough room, plenty of cages as each adult needs a cage and you need spare cages for weaned kits. How old are your rabbits, what breeds are they, how many does to bucks? Are they related? How are you feeding them before you breed them? Do you have the proper feed to raise good strong stock? Do you have nest boxes and bedding ready? Do you have a good rabbit vet in your area? What will you do with the young kits at weaning?
