Why does our economy need to make its money off the suffering of the poor?

The money does come from the poor. If anything, that money goes to them and then them nag us for more.

It's funny, how many billions of cash dollars flow from inner city ghettoes, high-rises and hoods to pay for drugs, liquor, tobacco, and gambling. Is there any possibility that some of the poor might be at least partially responsible both for their own poverty and their own suffering?
