  • Duty of Care laws would make the employer liable if anything were to go wrong whilst working for them.Even if you are right handed,and the left one is not used,it is likely that if something were to drop, for example, and you inadvertently grabbed for it with your left hand,thus causing more pain or further injury,they could be held liable for placing you at further risk of injury.
  • I guess they see it as not being productive enough and actually slowing everyone else down.
