The fact that Ahab chose to marry such a wicked woman in the first place indicates that Ahab was probably not very righteous anyway. It should be noted that we are discussing a ruler of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Not long after their split from Judea, their first king, Jeroboam, introduced idol worship to that kingdom. From that time on, the northern kingdom worshiped idols. They went through various period of partial and total apostasy during their existence as a nation, but they never fully gave up the worship of idols. So, it is unlikely that Ahab would have married a true believer in the first place.
