As long as your spouse is okay with it (and you don't give them a reason not to be), I don't see a problem with it.

It's okay, but it needs to be cleared with your spouse first. Offer to allow them to read/listen to your conversations with the ex. Transparency is the best way to go.

I don't plan on being friends with any kind of ex. The communication thing will never be possible, but more than likely forced out of me.

It can become a problem, even if it's cool at first, your opening a pandoras box, it can start innocently but you could end up catching feelings for your ex, causing major drama,,,,I think it's best left alone

Well i think hanging out with exes can cause problems, especially if you sit back and think of the old times (maybe your passion for him will woke up again)
