  • Yeah i guess i would. But the whole thing with the world is screwed is kind of crapola. No, the world has survived radiation showers, meteors, massive earthquakes, the list goes on and on. No, it's the people who are screwed +)
  • I might, but it would really depend on just how much. If it causes 10% less polution, probably not. It would need to be something pretty substantial to warrant that much money. Using less fuel would be more of a factor. Which is also better for the environment in a round about way.
  • Hmmm... probably not the environment alone. I'm pretty selfish, I'd be attracted to gas mileage and how much I can save now that gas is over $4.00 a gallon. Besides... if people were that concerned about the environment, don't buy a car. Car pool, take public transportation... best of all, get a bike! But nah, I'm lazy, there's no way I'm riding my bike 12 miles to work every day! ;)
  • A year ago: ABSOLUTELY! Today: Only if it is better on gas.
  • If I could afford it, absolutely. If I couldn't, I'd have to go with the best I could afford. Finances is always at the base/heart of big monetary decisions! :)
  • of course if i had the extra 3000 i would buy the one that is best for the envirement.
  • i just heard a commerical for honda, and they are putting out like 2,000 new cars, that run on water/air in a combustion system that causes electricity, so.. i was very surprised, however i think these cars are like 1,000,000 dollars a piece to make, so im not sure exactly what the price will be, also they are only making like 4 a year or something ...soo but yes.. i would pay every penny i had to get a car like that... if i had better options i would never drive my car, even though it gets 25 miles to the gallon.... :)
  • An extra $3000? Sure. I would add a little bit more to my monthly payments to save on gas and help the enviornment.
  • I'd spend an extra $3,000.00 for better reliability than other cars.
  • Affordability is a big issue. I don't believe in living beyond my means. At this point in time, with heating oil and food bills soaring, I need to plan out how to survive the coming year, not so much how my kids or grandkids are going to survive in the future. If I could afford it, I'd do it as long as one out there is made that sits high enough off the ground (bad back) and has 4WD or AWD(snow from November to May in my state). If I could afford any investment at all, I'd probably invest in solar power for my home first. I burn more heating oil during the year than gasoline in my vehicle. I can't go scootering or ride in a smart car. I've never been at a point in my life where I could afford 'new' or be approved for a loan for a new vehicle. I suspect that there are a bunch of people pretty much in the same situation that I'm in.
  • If you're buying. I am am man of modest income trapped in an area with a high cost of living and below-industry-average wages. The three most expensive vehicles I have ever owned combined cost less than $3000 and yet you are talking about it almost like it's pocket change. Get me approved for financing AND insurance for under $200/month combined and I'll reconsider.
  • Yeah... all the way.
