The horse races!

During the heat of summer the only places I want to go are cool, like fall and winter. I have to work, so going on vacation is not in the cards, but fall and winter are.

Well at the VERY VERY end of summer, I always go to Vegas. Usually the week right after labor day. Still technically summer and I love it there.

The beach! We're in the middle of a cold, wet summer and as always happens I can't wait for the sun to shine again, dig my toes into the sand, splash my way through the waves. I grew up in a seaside town and have never lost my longing to be there.

Being the home body that I am, I simply look forward to going to a few outings near a lake and have a few hot dogs with beer.
