Is there any tricks to getting the rear rotors off a 2007 hyundai santa fe?. I tried using the tapped holes to push them out but that did not work. It seems to want to pull the emergency brake pads out with it

if yer replacing the rotors.. use a ball peen hammer..when hammering .. only make contact with the rotor.... hit the rotor like your putting it back on.. then find a spot behind and hit it like you are taking it off...rotate the rotor slightly and repeat.... if your not replacing the rotors..only hit the areas that dont touch the brake pads...make sure there isnt a screw holding the rotor in place

OK...I figured it out.. First remove the wheel and the 2 cross head screws holding the Rotor in place. Then look for the round rubber grommit.. Remove this and save to put back in. Rotate the wheel till this round hole is between 6 and 7 O'clock..take a small flash light and you will see the adjusment wheel for the emergency brakes.. Loosen the emergency brakes by rotating the wheel..(I cannot for the life of me remember if its up or down..try one way..if the wheel gets tight and dosnt move..your going the wrong way!)..after releasing the brakes use 2 bolts (I think they were and M8 (I used 2 1/2" long) and screw one then the other untill the rotor comes free...i tapped a few times to break any rust loose first...after that it was easy... The trick is to release the em. brake all the way..otherwise you will fight with it!...Dont forget to tighten it back up when you put the rotors back on...
