I think that there are times when a credit card is a handy thing to have, but credit cards are also easily abused. I like to keep at least one major credit card active for emergencies and a couple of gasoline credit accounts open for when I travel, that way I don't need to carry a lot of money with me, when I'm on the road.

thats up to you. dont spend more than what its worth or you will be sorry. just pay off what you owe and dont use it very much.

Eventually you won't be using it, you'll just be trying to pay it off. If you can't control it, get rid of it. Trust me

I got rid of my credit cards the only one I keep is my debit card 4 it works the same as a credit card without the intrest and I can only spend what I have so you are aware of how much you are spending

Having a credit card should be considered a tool of convenience or a safety net. The issue with credit is that people can use it to enable themselves to live a more lavish lifestyle than they can actually afford and before too long, when the balance hits the limit, not only can't they maintain the lifestyle but now there's a beast that seems to come out of nowhere haunting them and making them unhappy. I have a credit card which I don't use. I keep it as a safety net. I use a visa debit card linked to my checking account.
