Where you live do people follow the garbage truck and dump the trash in the back by hand, or does a robotic arm pick up the cans and dump them in the top?

Yeah, we have the trucks with the arms that come by. Garbage collection used to be paid for out of our property taxes, when it was the crew of 3 that used to come by. Now that it's one guy in the truck with the arm, we get an extra $104 bill for trash pickup each year.

In Sydney where I live we have 3 men, a driver and 2 men to do the bins. Most parts of Aus have the robotic arm but I live in a one way street so we are lucky enough to have kept 2 men in a job...

There is 2 men in the truck, the driver and the guy that runs to the houses and pulls the garbage bag out of the cans and runs them to the truck. $4 per bag

I've seen both of them. But most the time its the first, where they follow & place it in by hand.
