I know someone who says that his IQ is 181 (that's about twenty points higher than Einstein, I think). But he just says that, and I think he might be lying, because I was in his music theory class and I was always much, much better at understanding music than he was. But I don't know... Anyway, I think that intelligence is too abstract to be given a number, or to be defined effectively.

I'll begin by saying I'm in college, I love booze, I never take school or anything else seriously. I don't trust those IQ tests. My ex-gf made me take a couple and they all said my IQ was 135 give or take a few, while hers was 95. She was pretty upset by it. It's a load of bull coz I'm pretty sure she's a lot smarter than I am.

I agree with Howard Gardner's theory that there are a number of different kinds of intelligence. Someone can be a "musical genius" but do poorly at math, for instance, while another is a brilliant architect but is tongue-tied at parties. IQ tests only focus on a very narrow range of intelligence.
