How soon after going off depo do the side effects kick in. such as the sore breast and what not.

It depends on you and how your cycle works. My symptoms were at the worse when I was on it, I got relief when I came off.

ok i am a little concerned because as of today i am off my depo shot. i went off before when i was on it for like 3 months and right away my period started back up but i did not have to sore breast. and i did feel better. but i have been on for some time as well! so what i am asking is how or what side effects will come with it and does it work to go to the pill to regulate your period, even if you are planning to have a baby? How soon after taking the pill did some of the others get pregnant?

Mine kicked in right on the 3rd month. I had got my last shot in march and my period came back on in june. My period was normal june,july and august. In september I started bleeding and never stopped. I been bleeding now for almost 3/4 a month. I been bleeding for 19 days right now. I dont have any sore breast but it can cause heavy and irregular bleeding and it can also cause infertility. Regardless of the side effects. The effects were the worse when i was on it then when i was off from it. So if you are on no matter how bad the side effects get when you get off just get off as soon as possible especially if you are planning to have a family in the near future. If not then you can just on another method of birth control like birth control pills, IUD or just use condoms.
