  • There should be free English classes for every person who wants to learn the language, not only Spanish. Here where I live, there is a public school that is set up specifically for the immigrant population and teaches language, culture, and other classes to help assimilate.
  • I don't have a clue about this, but what Yarnlady says seems to be quite reasonable and helpful, it would certainly make things easier for the immigrants. Regards.
  • Yes, they should all be documented, photographed and fingerprinted and they should have safe work and living working conditions when they pick crops. They should have most important things in Spanish unless they are cognates which is useless and then they will be cataloged and more easy to track if they commit crimes or try to go AWOL.
  • I honestly don't see how much more South Texas can do. Just about everything in the grocery stores has the label in at least half spanish, even our junk mail comes in Spanish! Trust me, it is getting old!
  • I think that people coming to America should learn to speak English. There should be free classes readily available to help them and they should be expected to take the classes.
  • No. I'm wondering what other countries do to accommodate English speaking migrants. What does Mexico do? They have large segments of Americans in some of the larger cities. I could be wrong, but I don't think they do anything special for us?
