  • So then God is part Hitler as well as part Martin Luther King, no?
  • That is in interesting question, that I have often pondered myself, but I think the idea is that God also created free will... That make both Hitler and Martin Luther King creations of his that chose to do things of their own accord without God's 'force.' But then that begs the question, if God is Omnipotent and Omniscient, then he would know the results of his creation of free will - thereby making your point, in my eyes, accurate... by proxy at least.
  • "If God created the universe from nothing other than himself then is it safe to assume that he created atheism because humans created atheism and since God is apart of the universe, God technically created atheism?" Yes, God created everything and He is therefore responsible for everything. From there you can take 2 paths. You can say God is unfair, or you can ask, "What exactly is He up to?" Could it be that His ultimate plan required things to be the way they are?
  • God is more than His creation, but He is also the force behind everything and therefore intertwined with the creation in that way. "So then God is part Hitler as well as part Martin Luther King, no?" If you were to take a single block of stone and carved into a work of art, the result would be a wonderful work of art, but there would also be a loss. The loss of all of the stone that was chipped away. Could you meld the statue together with pieces of stone and experience less loss? You could, but the end product would not be the same. Could done creation a different way? He could have, but He would not end up with the same end result. So the real question is whether or not a being capable of creation everything from nothing knows what He is doing. I have concluded that all possibilites were weighed and that this was the best way. This does not change the sorrow. I can only wonder what the end result will be that will have made this method worth it. The wickedness of man bothers God. For this cause He said it repented Him that He made man. It was not that He made a mistake, but that the price for what He is doing requires the existance of evil. If you are looking for God, you have to take the risk of trusting Him.
  • Atheism is the most blatant exercise of free will there is: the choice to not worship God. God gave us free will and he made everything in the world, so yes atheism and evil and everything else came from him. Yes, he is "part Hitler and part Martin Luther King": he is good and bad, he is absolutely everything.
