  • Yes, in fact , that is the main way for it to do so... I live about a block away from a samll, " petting zoo " , no , you cant pet them... anyways... every year the male (?) loses his feathers, and runs away, we see him all the time, on our street, in our trees, and running down the road, embarrassed... Definetely a cool cat!
  • Yup. Cut the "eyes" off a peacocks feathers, and the peahens lose interest in the poor guy. Take those pieces and glue them to another peacock, and the females suddenly think he's super handsome. A longer, thicker tail will have more eyes, and be shinier. This shows not only is he free from disease or parasites that would make his tail sparse and dull, he's also strong and quick enough to haul that tail around and not get eaten.
  • yes, well not all of them, ( but actually yes all of them, because if he was missing a bunch of them, he wouldnt be as appealing to a peahen looking on) but I digress, his tail, is the prime portion of gaining attention, the fanning out of his glorious feathers, are what he uses in part to attract a mate.
  • Oh, you know guys! They just have to strut their stuff and show off, looking so handsome for the ladies.
  • do not and i repeat do not try to pull any of the featers off a live peacock they will slap the piss out of you lol thanks the iron man
