Has anyone here ever amazed a child while camping, by cooking something in boiling water in a paper cup? I remember doing that over a campfire many times.

I was a Boy Scout, and one of the "tests" for Order of the Arrow was that we had to boil water in a paper cup. I was amazed that it actually worked! I recently had the honor of passing my 25 year old sash to a friend's son who became an Order graduate.

Not camping but I did that in science class at school and when teaching kids to cook, I've often shown that to them.
