I wish they didn't have to partner with either one, but I understand the economics of it.
I think Google will prove a better long term partner.
Good question; maybe they are going with the lesser of two evils so to speak?
On the business end, probably a good idea; on the users end, probably a bad one.
Competition and diversity are usually beneficial to the user.
What have they to offer besides a crappy Yahoo! Answers service

Have you read Yahoo's updated privacy policy? There's some mumbo
jumbo about advertising. Advertising is why they save searches
and more.
