  • I have a bag that I use for my laptop, and I often wear it over the shoulder. These days, I don't think anybody really considers it "odd". Nobody has ever made a "nice purse" type of comment to me.
  • Yes. carrying a shoulder bag can be only as manly as a man wants it to be. i use to think the same way, until i discovered it has to do with your clothes and the manner in which you carry yourself. If you are 100% all man, the surrounding people will know it. dress in cool clothes and......Walk Like A Man. simple.
  • carry a pink one & say it's your girlfriends bag.
  • For RFlagg and my idea to make a girlfriend: You could get a ballon, sellotape it to a broom, draw a face on it and put some hair on it. That could look ok. You can say she's one of those super skinny supermodels! She could look like this:
  • This is my bag Baby!
  • Carry two. Fill one up with water balloons and next time someone accuses you of looking odd, let 'em have it.
  • It's all in your attitude. Who cares what people are thinking? I've always wondered why men are made fun of for stuffing so much junk in their pockets, and the same people think a man with a purse, sachel, bag, or whatever you want to call it (what's in a name?), is equally ridiculous. I say, "Hogwash!". Who the hell gets to decide what is odd anyway? No matter what you decide your style is, and what to wear or carry with you, there is always going to be someone with nothing better to do than judge others with rude looks or comments. When I was a senior in high school, I wore a bright pink shirt to school regularly. It was my father's before I got it. Didn't the comments fly. I said what my mother told me to say, "Only a real man can wear a pink shirt!". Most of the kids that made the comments were the type that didn't end up making much of themselves. I meet them now, and I am the one with an eleven year marriage and three kids, and they, well, haven't done much with themselves. I still wear pink shirts from time to time, and I carry a shoulder bag quite often. If anyone is giving rude looks, or comments, I don't see or hear it anymore. It's all just part of the negative poison I've learned to filter out.
