Usually the dark bake pans are the thin type of metal that coduct heat quickly because of the metal, use a lower temp like 325 instead of 350 if you don't want too much browning. glass Pyrex pans heat slower so the middle gets going first, coat the pan with butter if you want brownon glass.
I only ever use baking pans, never glass...
average cake made in a baking pan, is baked at 350degrees, usually for 35-40 min..for a 9 x 13 pan..

I am a proud owner of a professional KitchenAid Mixer.
In the 90s my baking pans used were dark. They' now gone. Now when replacing them what recommendations does anyone have concerning dark versus light pans, kind of pan, and life of pans. i.e cake, bread, cookies, bunt, etc.

You usually make an adjustment for glass pans. They need to be put in a 25° cooler oven.
