  • My Dell Inspiron cost me only $400 and is now nearly 4 years old. It still works perfectly with no glitches, and performs every function I need it to perform.
  • Check out the dell inspiron or acer aspire series. Try to include core2duo and 2gb of ram in your buy. Good luck!
  • I have a Toshiba Satelite Lab...everything is built and it comes with either Windows Vista or Windows XP / whichever you choose. It is really nice and very easy to use. It can go anywhere and will hook up with any wireless network. and is WI FI compatable too! I mainly use it for my Graduate Work in College, but recently I have also hooked a printer up to it so it is more conveinient!
  • Regardless of what sites may be offered/mentioned, 600 bucks is not that much cash, and if you get the short end of the memory stick, you will end up paying some computer technician to fix your piece of junk or buy a new one. Save up a little and at least cough up 800-1000 to be safe. Trust me, I have seen the woes of dells, and there are two types of them, and you don't want to skimp on the price, for you will pay the price one way or the other.
  • Check out this person's items for sale and their store on ebay; I got my wife a sweet iBook for a sweet deal plus a warranty and some extras all under $300. They have all different types, refurbished and the one we got is like new: http://myworld.ebay.com/techreplay
