Late fees in regards to???? In general, non-profits are bound to all the same rules, regulations and agreements as any other entity. The non-profit aspect is a tax benefit. As for gov't funded businesses???? There are businesses that may receive gov't aide. It would depend on what the late fee is being assessed on. A credit card? A loan payment? Taxes? They may be eligible for a deferrment or a waiver of a fee, but, they are not automatically exempt just based on being a non-profit or being government funded.
