  • For one thing, you are limiting the diversity of input by only asking for a certain group to answer. Sometimes a question may be better answered by a certain group, but by limiting who gives input your answers will be limited in scope. This will often cause things to be viewed from only one angle and often the truth, or most logical solution, may be missed entirely.
  • They specify specific groups in their questions because they're looking for viewpoints from these particular groups. For instance, if I'm curious about what how someone in England views some event in the USA, I would ask a question asking for responses from people who live in England. The advantage in phrasing your question to a specific group is that hopefully people who are not in that group won't respond with a bunch of information that the questioner is not interested in. I'm not sure there are any disadvantages to asking a specific group a question, other than the possibility that some people may take it personally that they were excluded and want to answer the question anyway, sometimes in a rude or joking manner.
  • I love when another person answers a specific question I asked someone. That is what I love about the AB somebody other then that specific person answered it. I met ABer AnnieOlga who is one of my favorites that way:):) Answer anything you would like:)
