Hydrogen powered vehicles would be a common sight not far from now ,however when would you expect family flying cars to be in mass production?

I don't think we'll ever see truly flying cars. We may see some sort of hovercraft, but I don't think they'd last long, due to their inherent control issues (you can't turn a hovercraft quickly, especially at high speed).

Its not certain if that would be much of a possibility in any lifetime of us or a forseeable timespan from now. The ramifications of it draw the conclusion that it would just not be logical to try. 1. Its dangerous. I dont trust a lot of people with cars, that are on the gruond that run into houses, wait until flying becomes a standard like driving. Thats just asking for disaster. Also the technology that would be required for something like that would be far too advanced and expensive to possibly happen. We are better off investigating alternative fuel sources/etc before we should ever aspire to fly.
