  • I had muscovey ducks for awhile. Usually, their eggs hatch after 28 days. I wouldn't think they would hatch after 50 days, however you can actually hear the baby chicks cheeping before they start to hatch. I would advise you to listen for that little cheep. It is fascinating to watch the eggs hatch. Good luck.
  • The mother duck doesn't start sitting on her eggs until she has laid all her eggs. Start a 35 day count when she starts sitting on all her eggs. You will know when she is sitting for real because she will only leave her nest for around 15 to 20 min. for a bath, food & water, 2-3 times a day. Sharon
