When I notice how dirty they are. I do door handles and the woodwork around them about once a month due to germs. Actually your telephone, keyboard and desk need cleaned weekly. They harbor all kinds of germs and dirt.

I rely on the traditional "spring cleaning", except for high-traffic areas and the kitchen walls.

Never. Unless there is a mark on them for whatever reason, then I get out the cloth and wipe it off.

the complete walls?--never...I repaint about every 3-4 years...I will 'touch up areas with washing at any time, however, (like a corner that continually seems to be dirty...or around the toilet tank (we have friends who +/- may be good aims)).

Twice annually ... with occasional spot wipes as noticed.

When I move into a new place. But I tend to move a lot.

Just before we paint. Which isn't too often. We don't smoke so that doesn't get on the walls.
