There are at least two mentions of angels with flaming swords/firebrands in the Bible, one to guard the Garden of Eden, and one in the story of Balamb. Are these two angels the same one or were they two different angels?

Hmmm... interesting. I had never considered this before. I think to say it was for sure the same angel would be sheer speculation, since elsewhere there are mentions of various types or castes of angels. Perhaps it was the same type. However, I would question what this means. Hebrew is rich in symbolism and metaphor, so this might have some significant meaning.

I feel that those angels with the flaming swords represent sin, and how since sin exists mankind could never enter the unsinful world or "garden of eden" again.
