Air conditioner? Aha. Haha. We don't need an air conditioner... Even in the summer I sometimes ask if we can put the heating on :|

I live in south Louisiana, I'm not suicidal. Yes, I run the air conditioner.

Nope, never installed one in our new house. We have thick log ways and trees all around us in the woods. So if we open up the windows at night and let in the cooler evening air, then close them in the late morning to keep the humid warmer air out, we do okay. No, it isn't freezing cold, but then again, our power bill is reasonable and we stay reasonably comfortable. Only on a handful of days is it really hot in the house.
