  • My friend, best wishes to you. I am sure you will be fine, let me know when you get back! Hey! Next Generation played finally, the top four viewer rated episodes... I recorded them, I plan to watch them tomorrow!
  • Good luck Admiral Sir John. I thought it was a lot like taking a nap. I woke up feeling very refreshed the first time I went under. The last time wasn't so great. They gave me the anti-nausea drugs, as usual, but they didn't work and I was sooooooo sick. I really needed painkillers and couldn't even keep them down. It was awful. I'm sure you'll be fine though :)
  • Good luck Admiral, im sure it will be all over before you know it..take care ((((hugs))))
  • I've been put under for endoscopes a few times in the past few years, Honestly, It is no big deal. The anaesthetic takes effect so quickly that you really are out almost instantaneously. I just wake up a little groggy later and they give me something sweet to eat ..orange juice and a muffin...and I feel fine. The day is a write off however, I will just generally want to go home and sleep for a few hours. Modern anaesthesia is so sophisticated that you really won't feel bad at all..It seems like you just close your eyes and then it is over...they put a plastic retainer in your mouth (I guess so that they can keep your mouth open ..and before you even realize that it is uncomfortable..the anaesthetic that they are injecting puts you out. Instantaneously!! The procedure is fast, harmless and you will feel fine afterward. I don't know how else to reassure you. But as I said I have had it done a number of times and they periodically do it still. The only thing they make you sign in Canada is that you won't sign any important paperwork that afternoon after the procedure (I guess your thinking is a little clouded)...and 1 other thing!..make sure you take someone with you to help you get home..and maybe help you get dressed afterward. You will be fine but very groggy:) Good luck. The procedure is nothing. You will be fine. If you want any more info (there isn't much more)--just ask. I'm getting to be an old pro at this procedure:))
  • All the very best to you Admiral. Before you know it you'll be back on the Bag with all of us charming people. Take care of yourself and come back quick!!;)
  • Good luck but they may not even put you under general anesthesia. They will probably just sedate you enough that you won't be aware of what is going on.
  • Hope everything came out OK.
