No. i believe this law is essentially the same in all the states. Its a matter of covenience...the weapons too close to the convicted felon.

Yes, you have the right to bear arms. However, your parent can be arrested if you do.

If the parent is not on parole I don't see what the law has to say about it unless he is found in possesion of it, uses it in the commission of a crime, or it is found in his room or belongings after an unrelated search, or you report it stolen.
