Jack Daniels is unbeatable.

Johnny Walker, he is a gentleman, and a scholar.

Johnnie Walker is not a single malt whisky it is a blend. For a single malt I would recommend something like a dalmore 21 year old or glenlivet 21 "The Archive" for a well aged started whisky.
-
Laphroaig - strong, dark and peaty.

I generally go for something I can afford (under $100) so I go for Glenrothes or Macallan, but Laphroaig does have it's moments in my cupboard. I enjoy scotches from the speyside region generally, glenlivet is not something I would buy again though, it tastes like a blend (probably because it's used for them often I'd bet.) Islay is nice for smokieness. Glenrothes vintage 1991 is one of the best I've had so far.

mine is a 10 year old macallan in a fine oak cask, but then i don`t like peaty or smokey malts
