  • Depends the family, I have personally made my parents cry over it so much that they have "given up on [me]" Lol. But are you talking Teenager smoking weed? -Could maybe bring a son and father together because they both have a common hobby? -Instead of drinking or ecstasy, a daughter might just get high and not have babies and ruin her life? -Any member of the family that smokes could be look down on as a "criminal" or "junky" or "lazy pothead" "waisting their money on junk that rots their brains" <-- lol weeds much cheaper+healthier then alcohol. In a "Normal" American family however, it would probably lead to the Child being excluded and repeatedly grounded,... possibly forcing them to find friends outside the family and taking up harder drugs? Thats a question with to many variables. I tell my parents that they can keep fighting me over the fact that i smoke weed, but they will keep pushing me away, because its something I enjoy. And in my opinion i am entitled to smoke w/e i want, regardless of what the establishment thinks. Just like I'm an atheist in a catholic family, only thats not illegal. Hope i helped.
  • Well.. if everyone is open and honest about it it will probably improve family relations, unless of course someone gets arrested due to it... that could cause family and financial problems... In other words, there would be no negatives effects on the family if it were legal. There's nothing wrong with marijuana other than the "War on Drugs".
  • compassion, understanding, and acceptance
