I once ate a can of Vienna Sausage which was nearly a year over the expiration date. I didn't get sick and they tasted the same as they always do (bad).

When I was in the military in 1994 I was eating an MRE (Meal Ready to Eat). In the MRE there was a bag of M&M's that had "Proud sponser of the 84 Olympics" logo on it. I ate them. I'm still alive

I would put my money on Marmite - Not even bacteria will touch that stuff!!

1)Norway is a sardine canner. They have tins of sardines in oil 100 years old in their vaults,and still edible. 2) In the Napolionic wars (late 1700's)the French invented canning. England soon followed, and left samples in the London War Office. They were rediscovered in the 1950s, and tested for nutrition, flavour, and toxins. And passed the test. Then the scientists ate the lot.

I ate a can of chilli that i didnt cook and had been sitting in the back of a closet for possibly 3 years, it was ok.
