My mother in law has an RCA console television it is now about 6-7 years old and has started having a white spot on the screen for anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute after you shut it off. Can you give me any idea on why, do we need repai

    this is a good thing, this is called "afterglow" caused by the electron guns still driving after power is removed & is a a sign the tube is very healthy. Newer sets have a circuit to dampen this from showing but it causes no harm to the set
