It is in my jurisdiction. Look in your local phone book for your local police non-emergency number. Call them and ask them. There's no better source really than the people who would ticket you if it is illegal. If you get told it's not illegal, make sure you get a name and badge number. If you're in doubt, just stay away from them.

Laws vary world wide ... here in Montreal, Canada there are a few minor restrictions on "extra" light size, location on vehicle, and brightness of emitted light, but other than that, they are legal here.

In my state, as long as they arent flashing you are allowed to have red and blue as well
