  • Apo-divalproex is valproic acid, an anticonvulsant. Dosage is usually based on body weight and how well ones seizures are controlled. It is often given in combo with other anticonvulsants. The maximum daily dose is about 250 mg, usually broken up. An off-label use (in the US) is for treating manic episodes in bipolar disorder.   • i take 500 mg/day for bipolar disorder and have not even noticed a negative side effect... i think a lethal amount would depend on your personal chemistry and body weight. it concerns me that you'd ask, though... do you think your dosage is too high?
