I have a Sharp VC-H800 VCR. I spilled water and it seeped under it about an inch or so. The cup hit the rewind button. I stopped it and tried to turn off power. It wouldn't turn off. I unplugged it and can't get it to turn back on. It is recieving power.

It's not guaranteed to work, but pull the case off, blot dry any wet circuitry you find. If you spilled mineral water, you probably ought to rinse the same wet area with some distilled water and then blot dry again. Let it completely dry over night at least, then put the case back on and power it up. I've had some really bad spills, and was able to bring equipment back to life using this technique, but just be careful not to be excessive in the rinsing so that you don't get water into areas that won't dry out easily.
