Generally groin kicks aren't advised only in that it is a harder taget to hit (higer positioned, plus it might not even hurt unless the kick is placed right). Opt instead for a side kick to the knee. Not that there are rules, if it's in self defense, you're allowed to do whatever you need to defend yourself.

Look it hurts. Read up on your combat and take a look into female anatomy and youll find that it is equally painful and dangerous.
