If its a retirement speech then you should really write it for yourself. No matter who it is for, an already-written speech is not very personal at all and doesnt give that person much respect. Respect which they have earned and deserve. Someone who is of retirement age has put in 30-40+ working years and that in itself is an accomplishment and deserves to be respected and have an original well thought-out speech. Whether its you personally retiring or someone else, the speech deserves to have some thought put into it. Not bought or pre-written by someone else.
