I notice a lot of East Asians (from East Asia as oppose to Asian-American) have crooked teeth, why don't the affluent ones get orthodontics or corrective surgery?

It's part of the ethnic aesthetic. It's only in Western Europe and America where perfect teeth are seen as a mark of affluence.

They are not so conscious of beautiful smile and happy with what is god gifted. Not interested in alteration and modifications.

No, dude that is the British stereotype. The East Asians are stereotyped as the ones that drive 20 miles under the speed limit with their blinker on.

When I was living in Japan an American friend of mine had a crazy tooth smile going on. He later told me that his Japanese girlfriend knew he wasnt rich because his teeth werent straight... So maybe its a money thing. Those who have money to straighten do, and those who dont look like brick eaters : )=

Gee, natural is no good? Do they need plastic surgery and girdles too? America's idea of beauty isn't everyone's, and judging by how many people prefer Asian partners, maybe plastic is fading now.
