If you are close enough to the blast site then you could definitely feel the earth shake. But if your close enough for that, you may have more serious concerns like radiation, nuclear, or any of the electromagnetic radiation. This is intensely bright, back when nukes were first being tested, soldiers were nearby (relatively)to be trained in protecting themselves from nuclear warheads. Even at a distance that wouldn't kill, and presumably not cause serious problems, the soldiers, who were wearing goggles akin to welding goggles and covering their face with their arms while crouched in a trench, facing away from the blast, were still exposed to enough light that they could see through their arms see the bones of the other soldiers. Pretty dang bright.
