Would it bother you if you went to a wedding reception and you were not served wedding cake?

I would think it was unusual but it wouldn't bother me. I know some people are serving cupcakes now instead and I've been to weddings where they had large trays of cookies set out in addition to the cake.

No. Whatever the happy couple chooses to serve is just fine with me. After all, it's their day, not mine.

No. If I was at a wedding reception odds are good I would be too drunk to notice. Hell for that matter I would prolly be drunk, or at least buzzed, by the time they said "I do".

Unfortunately, most wedding cakes I've tasted weren't that good ... so no it wouldn't bother me.

It wouldn't bother me, though I would probably think it rather strange - assuming there was NO wedding cake. If there was a cake I cannot imagine anyone being overlooked ..... or deliberately slighted.

I'd like to think that I would keep my eye on the bigger picture of being invited to witness their commitment to each other rather that expressing my commitment to all things desserty. So no, it wouldn't bother me...much :)
