IMHO - no. He had the best winning percentage with the team. The Knicks should have waited until the championships were over to hire their head coach. I would prefer Saunders. I understand the Pistons weren't happy with the playoff performance.

YES, there were games in the playoffs that the Pistons lost due to his poor decisions! That is the deciding factor for me.

I don't think they should have hired him to begin with. As a MN fan I got a chance to see his teams play - poorly prepared, confused, out of balance. To this day KG is trying to shake off the criticism of not being clutch - a large part of that relates to failures in MN...when he couldn't get the right shots, looks, etc. Coaching matters. Saunders always seemed so easy to confuse.

YEah we should've fired him and never should've hired him ask me once Larry brown left we should've tried to steal Rick Carlise back from Indiana.
