If you delete something on your computer and it's not in your recycling bin, where would it be?

on hidden files i think is the name, , still in your computer but smaller size.

If you held down the shift key when you hit delete then it skips going to the recycle bin and gets permanently deleted. Did you hold that key down by chance?

Probably permanently deleted.

When a file or group of files exceed the size of the recycling bin, the computer deletes the files (and does not store them in the bin). Also, on occasion, when I drag and drop, I'll drop the file in another folder by mistake.
