No one can give you the concrete answer for question like this. He even might not know about it! If he is coming back, he will do so on his own and on his own time-frame. What you can do for yourself meantime is to move on with your life and give yourself a great time/life. Don't let him not around stop you from having a great time/life. It probably sounds cliché :-P but you were you before him so you will be fine after he's gone.
