It should be, but most times it is not...

It is in mans nature to worship, if it's not one thing then it will be another. As long as there is human nature there will be worshipping, whether it's sex, drugs, wealth, ones body, etc. and there will always be a place for religion... for those who chose to worship God, religion will always be relevent...

As long as extremists with extreme beliefs terrorize this world by killing themselves and, more importantly, innocent others... as long as those things keep happening in the name of religion, unfortunately it is relevant, but not in a positive way.

Yes, capitalism.

I'm in the "Bible Belt" and it is very relevant to me. I am happy that I was born in and still live in an area that The Bible, God and church is still so important.

It's most certainly not in my world, but it certainly is in general. It causes enough wars.

Real religion improves a person's life... so the real thing has a place, but those religions that do not improve you life are not relevant. Jesus said it like this: "By their fruits ye shall know them." This public resource may be helpful in being able to distiguish the real thing from the imposter. http://gospelenigma.com

Religion can play a role in todays world. And if praying to a higher power makes you feel good, go for it. Trying to force one's beliefs one someone else is a different matter, though. I have no problem with religion as long as it does not cause one to do heinous acts (like discriminating against gays/women/(insert your minority of choice here)/etc , animal sacrifice, slamming planes into buildings, etc. Those are just horrible things to do in the name of God) The Creator never intended for people to kill or harm one another to prove their loyalty and devotion, surely. Personally, I believe I can serve the Lord by helping people and animals that are suffering and truly in need. Or at least live and let live.

It seems to be still relevant for a lot of people. But religion makes rather negative headlines.
