A large porcentage of young women today are not necessarily eager to get married (just yet); thus I believe that your question would've been easier to answer if you had used the word "women" instead of the word "girls."

I think if someone's best friend gets married she/he feels left out and so jealousy creeps in..the married people have their own lives and sometimes there isn't room or time for the best friend..so feelings get hurt.
