Most laptops these days don't come with microsoft office programs installed. Try using the search utility on your computer or dig around in your program files.
If you can't find them, they're most likely not there and you'll need to go buy them.
Many computers come with only a time-limited demo of MS Office or it's components.
Get OpenOffice and get all of the same functionality AND the ability to read those files and save into a compatible format without spending HUNDREDS of dollars.

You're reading I recently got a new Dell Inspiron 1520. However, I cannot find Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher etc. ALl the disc that came with the laptop say 'Already Installed". How do I get these important programs? I need these for assignments and writing.
